Would like to report the travels thus far of the" World's Smallest
Hitchhiker".
Planted on 8/22/01 in Mansfield Depot...took a train
ride to
Vernon Rails to Trails -found on 10/3/01 and on
to
State Insect letterbox in Willington, Ct
( how ingenious of Mama Duck and crew to place it
where they did !) found on 11/17/01
and released at the Picnic Boulder in Glastonbury,CT (
Alan from Axtown- choice of placement-sheer genius and most
amusing)
We found the little bugger on 1/19/02 before the
snowstorm and will try to "farm" it out to another interesting place and carry
on in your footsteps.
Slow Camel ( I almost crushed the little formicidae,
he was sooo small.) SMILE
ps "Doors Always Open Hitchhiker" was found in Old
Lyme on 12/31 at the Pine Bench Letterbox then
traveled to Timberland Trails in Guilford for
an open house at The Black Tupelo Letterbox as reported by
Bikenut and her Consort who found it ( 1/02/02) and took
the show on the road.
